As a 9000 cubic inch expedition duffel the Chauris was designed with help from a team of Sherpas. Who knows carrying loads and securing gear better than them. The features are straight out of the needs of high alpine Himalayan climbers but lend them themselves to anyone carrying lots of stuff. The large end to end opening in the Hypalon top gives way to a massive open interior. Both vertical and horizontal compression straps allow for ever changing loads while the outside pockets offer quick access to needed items. The Chauris has grab loops on all sides making it easy to throw onto truck roof tops and out of helicopters. It also comes with a shoulder strap, backpack straps and a Namlo (a traditional Sherpa head band). |
